Books on My Wishlist (Plus Updates!!!)

Hello there! To start this post off (which will probably be extremely long), let me get you updated a little.

  • I'm currently working on a review for A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, and I'm also planning on writing another separate review for A Court of Mist and Fury, the sequel. It may take a while, and I may have to reread ACOTAR, because reading the second book has changed a lot of my opinions of ACOTAR.
  • I posted another lyrics video on YouTube about a week ago, maybe? It's the lyrics to "Knocking On My Heart" by Maggie Lindemann, which I found on Spotify and became OBSESSED with it. Here's the link: Knocking On Your Heart by Maggie Lindemann-Lyrics
  • School's starting soon, which means that I'm going to be reading a whole bunch of new books. I know that people usually read more in the summer, but it seems that I am the opposite. I usually don't read very much at all during the summer, and that makes me sad, but I can't force myself to read! On top of that, I got my new smartphone this summer, so I've been spending a lot of time on it. :/ Whelp. Anyway, what that means: MORE REVIEWS! (Hopefully)
  • THE TWENTY ONE PILOTS CONCERT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't mention it in my last post because it was a tag, but the concert was amazing, and I loved it, and it was everything I hoped it would be, and I want to go to another one with better seats. I'd show you videos that I took but
    a) we were very far away, so the camera quality sucks
    b) you can hear me singing, and let's just say that my singing is...bad and
    c) no way am I taking that much time to upload the videos onto my computer.
So yes. I'm labeling this post with "twenty one pilots 2016 concert", because I want to believe that there will be more. :D Also, can we all just take a moment to appreciate "Heathens"? (THEY PLAYED IT, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
  • Does anyone know someone who could design my blogs for free? I want to fully redesign this blog and my other new blog, but I don't know anyone that still designs blogs for free. If you want to recommend someone, PLEASE comment below with their website, or email, or something.
  • I dyed my hair purple last night!!! Actually, it's just about 1/3 of the way dyed from the bottom up, but it didn't really show, so I'm going tomorrow night to get it redyed. So the color will "pop", quoting my stylist.
Okay, with updates done, I'm going to get into the real reason I'm making this post--to tell you what books I want to read in the future! The point, you might ask? Well, the point of this post is so that if you have read any of these books, you can comment down below and tell me which ones you loved/hated, which ones you think I should get a hold of first, and which ones I should write some reviews about because you may also want to read them. Sound good? Let's do this then.

  1. Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, and Maureen Johnson (DO NOT READ DESCRIPTION IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS SERIES OR ARE PLANNING TO READ THEM)
    Publication Date: November 15, 2016

The New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling collection of short stories chronicling the adventures of Simon Lewis as he trains to become a Shadowhunter is now available in print for the first time with ten brand-new comic illustrations!

Simon Lewis has been a human and a vampire, and now he is becoming a Shadowhunter. The events of City of Heavenly Fire left him stripped of his memories, and Simon isn’t sure who he is anymore. So when the Shadowhunter Academy reopens, Simon throws himself into this new world of demon-hunting, determined to find himself again. Whomever this new Simon might be.

But the Academy is a Shadowhunter institution, which means it has some problems. Like the fact that non-Shadowhunter students have to live in the basement. At least Simon’s trained in weaponry—even if it’s only from hours of playing D&D.

Join Simon on his journey to become a Shadowhunter, and learn about the Academy’s illustrious history along the way, through guest lecturers such as Jace Herondale, Tessa Gray, and Magnus Bane. Written by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, Maureen Johnson, and Robin Wasserman, these moving and hilarious short stories are perfect for the fan who just can’t get enough of the Shadowhunters.

Pursued by Maven, now a vindictive king, Mare sets out to find and recruit other Red-and-Silver fighters to join in the struggle against her oppressors. But Mare finds herself on a deadly path, at risk of becoming exactly the kind of monster she is trying to defeat. Will she shatter under the weight of the lives that are the cost of rebellion? Or have treachery and betrayal hardened her forever?
      5. Heartless by Marissa Meyer
          Publication Date: November 8, 2016

Catherine may be one of the most desired girls in Wonderland, and a favorite of the unmarried King of Hearts, but her interests lie elsewhere. A talented baker, all she wants is to open a shop with her best friend. But according to her mother, such a goal is unthinkable for the young woman who could be the next queen.
Then Cath meets Jest, the handsome and mysterious court joker. For the first time, she feels the pull of true attraction. At the risk of offending the king and infuriating her parents, she and Jest enter into an intense, secret courtship. Cath is determined to define her own destiny and fall in love on her terms. But in a land thriving with magic, madness, and monsters, fate has other plans.
